Virginia Tech Memorial Fund
In memory of those who were killed in the tragedy at Virginia Tech in April 2007, GFWC is requesting that clubs make donations to the GFWC Virginia Tech Memorial Fund to raise funds towards the purchase of an advanced life support ambulance for the Virginia Tech Rescue Squad. This support vehicle will be given in the name of GFWC and as a memorial to the 32 who lost their lives last spring. GFWC members, clubs, and others that wish to donate should send their donations to GFWC, Virginia Tech Fund, 1734 N ST NW, Washington, DC 20036-2990. You may also make your donation online.
VT Engage Service Project
And, in remembrance of the victims and in keeping with Virginia Tech’s motto, Ut Prosim, “That I May Serve,” GFWC is also encouraging its members to participate in the “VT-Engage” service initiative. Participants are encouraged to pledge at least 10 hours of service to the project of their choice online at www.engage.vt.edu.
