GFWC - Rose Ditto

Rose Ditto

An active member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and GFWC of Kansas, GFWC President-Elect Rose Ditto has held numerous positions on both the state and national levels. She began as Secretary of the State Board and moved through the state offices to become GFWC of Kansas State President in 1992. From 1992-1994, Rose served on the GFWC Board as Literature/Drama Chairman. More recently, she has served on the GFWC Executive Committee as First Vice-President, Second Vice-President, Recording Secretary, and Treasurer.

In addition to her Federation work, Rose is a member of the Kansas Children’s Service League Board, a volunteer organist and a teacher of the Family Strengthening class in her church. She also serves on various local committees and boards and is a member of the Wamego Sweet Adelines.

Rose is a graduate of Manchester College and holds a Master’s degree in Music Education from Kansas State University. She holds a second Master’s Degree in Human Ecology and recently received a PhD in Lifespan, Human Ecology, also from Kansas State.

Rose and her husband Bill reside in Wamego and have three children and six grandchildren.
