Babs Condon

Babs Condon, GFWC Recording Secretary, is a third-generation clubwoman who has served the Federation for 21 years. She is currently the advisor to a Juniorette club that she started in 1994 and also serves as Fundraising Chairman for her local woman’s club. At the national level, Babs was 2004-2006 Treasurer. At the state level, Babs was the 2002-2004 President of GFWC Maryland, and previously was its First Vice-President, Corresponding Secretary, Treasurer and State Junior Director. She now serves as the webmaster of GFWC Maryland's website.

Prior to serving as Director of Junior Clubs, 1998-2000, Babs was Director-Elect of Junior Clubs and GFWC Conservation Chairman. During the 2000-2002 administration she was GFWC Outreach for Children Program Chairman, traveling extensively with Care and Operation Smile. She helped raise over $204,000 for the latter.

A graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with graduate work at the University of Kentucky, Babs taught for several years before retiring to raise her two sons. She currently works as an accountant in the family business and is president and rental agent for a real estate company.
